Submission InformationThank you for your interest in performing at the NJ Burlesque Showcase on April 11th 2014.
In order to be selected to the Showcase please submit a video link of the SPECIFIC act you would like to perform on stage. Personal website, youtube, vimeo, etc. (Please make sure the link isn't broken.) All performances should run under 5 minutes in length. Do not worry if your video features an intro or titles that make it over 5 minutes we understand. Please list any special needs to perform to be cleared by the venue. Any routine featuring striptease must adhere to all local ordinances. (This is our official way of saying you can end your routine in pasties or with tassels but you must wear either a see through bra or a bra with demi cups. This is a hard rule and when selected for the Showcase we will ask you to sign an agreement. We always shudder to force rules on artists but we hope that by expressing this up front you will be able to incorporate this into your routines. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.) G-strings are acceptable. No Fire Performances... This is unfortunate. We love fire. Trust us. We just can't have it inside the venue. If you wish to spin or hoop LEDs instead we will happily have you. You need not be from NJ to apply, all performers over 18 years of age are welcome. We will require ids and you will be asked to sign paperwork. We will be inviting photographers and the press to this event. Please understand that if you are performing in this event expect to be photographed and filmed. One submission per performer, unless you are also applying as part of a group act which means you can submit one solo and one group act. Please provide a biography (especially any awards or shows you've performed/produced) and a link to a promotional photograph. Deadline for all submissions is 11:59pm March 3rd 2014. Performers will be informed by March 10th 2014. Become a fan of the Showcase on Facebook to keep informed of all upcoming info. https://www.facebook.com/njburlesqueshow All decisions of the producer are final. |
